Recently discovered buried under a parking lot, Emma is an eighteen-year-old girl from the other side of the world who is two-thirds unicorn, according to recent scientific studies.  She likes history, reading, queer theory, feminism, the bbc, zombies, run!, les misérables and lovely people.  She writes, but only for the ZR fandom and she spends 90% of her time complaining about it and only 10% writing it.  Her main three fandoms are currently zombies run, les mis, and the weather.  However, other relevant fandoms for this blog include: ancient egypt (it is a fandom); history; avatar: legend of korra/avatar: the last airbender; downton abbeygood omens; cabin pressure; bleak expectations; bbc radio 4 in general; hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy.

This girl provides examples of:

  • Absent-Minded Professor: I am not a professor, but apart from that…
  • Ancient Egypt: I study it and I accidentally fell in love.
  • Apologises A Lot: I’m sorry, I’ll stop apologising now—sorry! I did it again!
  • Atheism: I tried to believe in God, I really did.
  • Attention Deficit—Ooh, Shiny!:  Except the real version, not the Hollywood version.  It is awful.
  • Australia:  We are in the future!
  • Bad Liar: I am actually the worst at it.  Thus, I try not to do it.  If you think I’m lying, all you have to do is act like you’ve cottoned onto me, and I’ll break, essentially.
  • Brilliant But Lazy: I am awful. Sometimes I think of how well I’ve done so far, and then I weep because I probably could’ve done something awesome had I actually applied myself. But nope.
  • Buffy Speak: If I am ever going to succeed as a functional adult, I need to learn how to articulate my thoughts. The internet isn’t helping.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: A quote from friends: “Where is she?” “She has her own planet.”
  • Feminism: obviously.
  • Forgetful Jones:  I am the worst at remembering things, except a) things I don’t need to remember or b) intricate historical details that I can pull out of my arse at unexpected moments.
  • G’Day Mate: If my slang confuses you, do not be afraid to ask.
  • Land Down Under: Everything here tries to kill you.  Especially the dropbears.
  • Last Het Romance: And oh, how long it took.
  • Metaphorgotten:  All the time.
  • Ooh Me Accent’s Slipping: What even IS my accent?  I don’t know.
  • Raised Catholic: My ex-Catholicism is probably more significant than my atheism.  And I still find time to be bitter about the new mass.  (Damn you, Backwards Benny!)
  • Ridiculous Procrastinator: Oh, how different my life would be if I had any will power at all.
  • Sydney: I walk past the Harbour Bridge every day.
  • TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life: Help meeeeeeeee—
